NEWS AND EVENTS
Wheek Care Guinea Pig Rescue is only accepting emergency surrenders at this time.
We will bring in non-emergency surrenders as cages open up. The waiting list is currently 3 to 6 weeks. If you need pellets, hay, or bedding to get you through the waiting time, please email us to see if we can help.
Our mission is to leave no pig behind, and we have to make this announcement because of the very high numbers of surrender requests we've been getting for a couple of months now. All the cages are full. Thanks for your understanding and support at this challenging time for us all.
The rescue is observing self isolating guidelines to keep volunteers and animals safe. However, we are open for limited adoptions and surrenders. If you have a genuine emergency that means you can't keep your guinea pigs safe, such as a family illness or eviction, please contact us. Understand that there could be a waiting list. Contact us at email@example.com for details.
We operate by APPOINTMENT ONLY, Monday through Saturday
Any guinea pig adopted from WCGPR is obligated by the signed adoption contract to come back to the rescue.

Guided by decades of experience and a general passion for guinea pigs, Wheek Care is qualified to educate the general public and potential adopters on proper guinea pig care. The goal of education is to assist people in becoming better equipped to care for their own guinea pigs, as well as making informed decisions as to whether or not a cavy is the right companion animal for their families.
